Despite the very many challenges faced throughout, 2020 has been a very prosperous year for everyone at GBSB Global after all! Below is a brief recap of our most memorable moments.
GBSB Global Business School continues to gain further recognition for its quality management and excellence in education at both local and international levels. Adding to our list of accreditations, this year GBSB Global has been endorsed by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), a leading US association, accrediting and supporting business education worldwide, who in turn are recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Moreover, the new Malta campus, being launched in October 2021, has officially been licensed as a Higher Institution by The Malta Further & Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), allowing our students to now receive nationally recognized qualifications not only by Spain, but also across the whole of Europe! A huge step ahead for GBSB Global in terms of international recognition and educational standards!
Awards and Rankings:
Building up on the successes of 2019, GBSB Global has yet again received top scores for International Orientation from U-Multirank, as well as our MBA programs, that were again recognized as Tier One in the Global MBA Ranking 2020 by CEO Magazine.
Also, 5 of our Master programs were reviewed by the QS University Ranking, as a result listing GBSB Global as TOP-150 in the world and TOP-10 in Spain. Amazing achievements!
Expanding Strategic Partnerships
As part of the educational partnership expansion strategy, GBSB Global has successfully signed a collaboration agreement with the United States Sports Academy (USSA, America’s Sports University). This unique partnership means new intercontinental accreditation opportunities for all our MSc Sports Management students!
Aside from the GBSB Global diploma, these students are now also eligible to obtain additional course completion certificates, allowing ones to attain the International Certification in Sports Management (ICSM) from the USSA. This of course includes gaining direct access to various educational services and resources by USSA.
Dealing with Lockdown Crisis: New Programs
With the ongoing global pandemic, 2020 brought many challenges for everyone at GBSB Global, from our current students and staff members, to our alumni. For some it meant major job alterations, requiring fast adaptation, leading to new career paths and/or professional developmental opportunities; for others, it proved to be much more difficult, from health to business operations.
Our campuses had to acquire a different look to maintain health and safety standards in line with imposed protective regulations, meaning: much smaller classes, masks and other protective gear worn by everyone in the classroom without exception etc.
And of course, most importantly, GBSB Global underwent a major shift towards online learning, offering the Blended Learning option to all on-site students, allowing everyone to continue on with their studies online, in full, without any interruption to their courses.
As a result, our Online Campus grew majorly, whilst sustaining academic excellence and personalized attention to our best ability. As a Microsoft Showcase School, we are always keen on offering best possible services and latest innovative technologies to all our students.
