The G-Accelerator is an innovative program designed to provide support and assistance to GBSB Global students and alumni who wish to launch an entrepreneurial venture or startup with Impact. It supports participants throughout their journey, from idea generation, market test and business model validation, strategies and resources and financial planning.
The G-Accelerator program is designed and managed by GBSB Global in partnership with UVic – UCC Universitat Central of Catalunya and the Institute of Social Innovation and Impact (ISSI) the University of Northampton in the United Kingdom.
The G-Accelerator Impact Call is funded by the Departament d’Empresa i Treball of the Generalitat de Catalunya and co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus.
The G-Accelerator program welcomes all current GBSB Global students and alumni but it's not reserved for them alone: it's open to the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem and virtually anyone can apply. However, since the goal is to develop and launch an entrepreneurial venture or startup in Catalonia, entrepreneurs living outside of Spain must be willing to both establish a business in this Spanish autonomous community and travel to Barcelona to participate in presentations during the program.
The G-Accelerator Program is a 6-month pre-accelerator program that aims to support seed and pre-seed startups or projects that want to create a socially, economically and environmentally sustainable business in Catalonia. It's also specifically designed for next-generation entrepreneurs with innovative and disruptive ideas, who want to launch a "Triple Impact Business" in Catalonia.
The program aligns with the SDGs of the Agenda 2030 and focus specifically on the following verticals:
(230 hours)
(240 hours)
Access to the local (Barcelona - Spain) and International (Europe – World) entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Up to €3,000 budget for additional mentoring hours after completion of the G-Accelerator program
The 6-month, 230-hour program is divided into 3 blocks covering Ideation, Go to Market Planning, Business Readiness and Funding.

Up to 20 hours per startup. Accredited professionals will be available to help participants develop their business idea. They will work in two different ways.
A mentor will support each project throughout the duration of the program.
Expert mentors are temporarily assigned according to the specific needs of each startup (funding, technology, user experience...).
The G-Accelerator promotes the networking in three levels:
Between the beneficiaries of this program.
There are different profiles and stages of development among the entrepreneurs and startups in this program. The exchange of insights, concerns and results is of great value.
Between the program beneficiaries and local entrepreneurs in Barcelona. GBSB Global G-Accelerator is an associate member of Barcelona Tech City, and you will have access to the training assets and same preferred conditions as GBSB Global has as a member of The Impact Call 2024.
Between the beneficiaries of the program and the international entrepreneurial community. GBSB Global G-Accelerator has an agreement with enpact.org to present and select specially selected startups for their international programs.
Up to €3,000 to support additional mentoring hours after the end of the program. We provide financial support to the winners of each edition to help them enter the acceleration phase of their project with a go-to-market and fundraising strategy.
