Study periods abroad can last from a minimum of 2 months (or 1 academic term or trimester) to a maximum of 12 months. Students can also undertake blended mobility, which combines a virtual period with a short or long-term physical mobility. The short-term physical presence abroad as part of a blended mobility lasts a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 30 days.
You can benefit from an Erasmus+ exchange more than once, either as a student or as a trainee, but your total time abroad (including study periods abroad) must not exceed 12 months within one study cycle.
BEFORE MOBILITY
- The Learning Agreement must be signed by all parties before the mobility starts. The academic recognition will be completed accordingly, provided that the initially agreed courses and ECTS have been successfully completed.
- Students will receive the Erasmus+ Student Charter, which explains their rights and obligations during their study period abroad.
DURING THE MOBILITY/STUDY PERIOD
- If there are exceptional reasons, the student is allowed to make changes in the Learning Agreement, i.e. to change/substitute subjects. To make the changes, the student must complete Tables A2 and B3 of the Learning Agreement within a reasonable time (depending on the time allowed by each institution) and send the new Learning Agreement to both institutions. The new Learning Agreement must be signed by both institutions for the changes to be approved.
AFTER MOBILITY
- The receiving institution must provide you and your sending institution with a transcript of records confirming completion of the agreed program and certifying the results. Transcript of Records: The student is responsible for obtaining the transcript of records before departure..
- Your home institution must recognize the credits (ECTS) as agreed in the Learning Agreement prior to mobility and apply them to your degree without further requirements.
- If your home institution is located in a program country, your mobility period should also be recorded in the Diploma Supplement.
Traineeship
Erasmus+ supports traineeships abroad (work placements, internships) in any workplace for students currently enrolled in higher education institutions in Program Countries, at short-cycle Bachelor and Master level. These opportunities are also open to recent graduates.
