GBSB Global’s Student Council is the main representation unit working to influence policy, priorities and social activities, ensuring the voice of our student members are heard.
Student Council is made up of elected members from each campus, responsible for the facilitation of student involvement and satisfaction throughout their educational journey.
The main aim of this student-led initiative is to increase the feeling of belongingness within this learning institution and create a strong student community across all GBSB Global campuses.
Meet the Student Council Team:
Mihai Andrei Cîndea, Chair
My name is Mihai, I am 19 years old, from Romania, and I am the chair of the Student Council for this academic year. I love playing all kinds of sports and this is why I decided to study BA with Sports & eSports Management at GBSB Global. Being part of a cycling team for the past three years helped me realize how important it is for all of us to work as a team, therefore I am here to listen and do my best to help each and every one of the GBSB Global students to embrace their full potential and enjoy what this business school has to offer. I want to learn, improve and make the best of my time here at the Barcelona campus together with all the students of this prestigious school we are all part of.
Yuhann John, Deputy Chair
My name is Yuhann John, I am the deputy chair of the student council, born in the state of Kerala, India. I am studying for my Bachelors in Sports and e-Sports Management. I dabble in a lot, I have an avid obsession with football and boxing along with my other passions such as reading and novelty such as comic books. My hobbies helped shape a better life for me inspiring health and creativity. I hope to inspire the students in GBSB to keep the balance between their lives to have fun and also work on expressing their creative side as best they can while staying competitive so we can collectively get the best out of each other in the short time that we have together.
Kirat Bains, Secretary
I am Kirat, BA General Management student, originally from India but lived in Vancouver, Canada for over 6 years. I participated in the nationals in boxing and have been an avid part of my society. Be it volunteering or fund raising, I have always loved helping people. Having an army background, I know what it means to function as a team. I will be the secretary for the student committee and I will ensure I do whatever is needed to ensure that the students get what’s needed. I’ll definitely keep in mind what’s possible and what might not be something we can work on. I mean if the students ask for a trip to space, I’ll definitely remember to say no.
My name is Tigran. I am a 33 year-old MA Communications & Future Marketing student from Yerevan, Armenia. I have been working in the field of marketing and communications for 9 years now and applied to GBSB Global to brush up on my executive skills and expand my international professional network. My sports background includes obtaining a Master of Sports in swimming, whereby I became captain of the Armenian National Team for Water Polo (2014-2018). Another hobby of mine is music. I play the drums in "FairWind" Armenian rock band (founding member since 2007). As for my social side, I am passionate about organizing events and communicating with people from various backgrounds.
Ziva Oblak Poljansek
My name is Živa, I am 20 years old. I was born in Slovenia, a very small but beautiful European country. I am a very talkative person, who loves to hang out with friends and family over food and drinks. Being a BA with Fashion & Luxury Business student, I adore fashion, Italian culture and everything that comes with it but at the same time I am very passionate about kite surfing, sports and living life to the fullest. I believe that what is meant for you will come your way no matter what. I joined the Student Council because I love organizing events and adding that extra touch.
