For the last career session of the 2016-2017 academic year, GBSB Global Business School welcomed Daniel Reyes, founder of Worldwide Internships to our Barcelona campus.
Mr. Reyes is an entrepreneur from Mexico, who is now based in Thailand. He believes that it is essential for young professionals to get experience abroad in order to understand today´s globalized world.
During his visit, Mr. Reyes gave personalized advice to GBSB Global students regarding the best destinations around the globe for each student depending on their course of studies, budget, and environmental preferences. In addition, GBSB Global student, Lauren Barwise, who has already participated in a Worldwide Internship program, attended the session to give a testimony of her positive experience living and working in Mexico.
Worldwide Internship started as an organization that offered internships for hospitality students and professionals, but their programs have expanded to accommodate many industries such as marketing, business, finance, and innovation. As their name states, Mr. Reyes and his organization has connections "Worldwide", in popular destinations such as the USA, Australia, the UK, the Caribbean, and for those that love Spain, they offer a local program! When asked about some words of advice for our GBSB Global students taking their next step out into the professional world, Mr. Reyes says, "Dream big, work hard, play harder".
