As we look forward to the new academic term in October, GBSB Global Business School is excited to unveil four new bachelor degree programs. Before, GBSB Global offered BBA programs focused on the specializations in entrepreneurship, marketing, management, and communications. Now, we are enrolling students for four completely new programs in addition to the three still currently available for the 2017-2018 academic year. These new programs are PR & Communication which will replace the BBA in Communication, finance, digital business, and fashion & luxury business management making that seven BBA programs in total.
What does this mean for students?
One of our major accreditations achieved over the 2016-2017 academic year was becoming the only higher education institution in Spain accredited by Microsoft as a leader in digital education, delivering students the most state-of-the-art learning experience from the start.
What this means for students studying for their BBA is that all students will attend training through the Microsoft Imagine Academy and can earn two professional designations that will enhance their credentials on top of their degree. This certification gives BBA graduates a huge advantage both academically and professionally.
- MS Office Specialist | This accreditation confirms students have attained a standard of knowledge that demonstrates individual competencies in Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013 tools.
- MS Office Specialist Expert | Certified individuals have advanced competencies in Microsoft Office Word and Excel tools. In the Microsoft Office 2013 version, each of the specialties consist of two exams.
BBA in Finance
In addition to becoming Microsoft certified, students that elect to study finance can also take advantage of GBSB Global’s role as an official ACCA partner and the first computer based examination (CBE) center in Barcelona and the only CBE center in Madrid. The ACCA is the largest accountancy body in the world, with operations in 180 countries, and its qualifications are the internationally renowned standard for finance professionals across the globe.
All students that elect to study finance can earn the F2-F4 level ACCA certification, as the program curriculum is designed to prepare them for the exams. It is also important to note, all BBA students in general, regardless of their specialization, apply for the F1 level exam and can also become certified. This, in addition to the Microsoft recognition will add value to students’ degrees and will make them highly marketable in today’s business world.
