GBSB was proud to host its Fourth Annual Business, Innovation and Trends Conference on its Barcelona campus this past May 2nd and 3rd. Academically, students were responsible for organizing and executing the entire conference from conception to managing the catering, confirming the speakers, creating the marketing and designing a website, etc. Every detail was thoroughly thought through and taken into consideration by various students in GBSB Global’s Master of Fashion and Luxury Business Management program. In addition to being a hands-on learning experience executing the logistics of this professionally orchestrated conference, students get to engage with some of the most esteemed names within the fashion, technology and luxury brand industry in Barcelona, Spain and all of Europe.
The attendance for the event saw more than one hundred guests over the two day period. The second day was hampered by the rainy weather, but that did not stop esteemed speakers, professors and students from engaging in the wide host of activities and presentations.
Among the most noteworthy presenters at the B.I.T. of Fashion Conference 2018 were Anastasia Pistofidou, a locally based architect focused on innovation and new technologies who works with Fab Lab Barcelona, Ruben Garcia Tamayo, client coordinator and CRM Store Ambassador with DOLCE&GABBANA SL in Barcelona, and Melita Berg, a graphic designer from Latvia who presented a workshop in the field of creative arts.

The B.I.T. of Fashion Conference provides students with the unique opportunity to experience what it feels like to work in a professional environment networking and engaging with some of the industry’s most sought after individuals.
