GBSB Global Presents Impuls AgriTech at Alimentaria to Connect Science, Technology, and Agricultural Innovation

GBSB Global Business School participated in Alimentaria, one of Spain’s leading food industry trade fairs and an international meeting point for the agri-food sector. There, the school presented Impuls AgriTech, a pre-acceleration program designed to connect scientific research, technology, and entrepreneurial innovation.
Developed in collaboration with the Institut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentàries (IRTA) and X_AgriTech, the program supports early-stage startups and innovation projects in the AgriTech and AgriFood sectors. The program’s mission is to transform academic and scientific knowledge into practical, market-oriented solutions that can strengthen the efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness of agriculture and the broader food industry.
During the event, the IRTA stand hosted a pitch presentation of Impuls AgriTech for professionals, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders from the agri-food innovation ecosystem. Xavier Arola, Director of Careers and Entrepreneurship Services at GBSB Global, emphasized the program’s role in bridging the gap between science and the market and supporting the creation of startups in areas such as biotechnology, precision agriculture, sustainable farming, artificial intelligence, data science, energy management, and waste reduction.
GBSB Global’s Alimentaria participation also included mentoring sessions for program participants and a Startup Clinic for entrepreneurs attending the fair. The clinic offered practical guidance for developing new projects in the agri-food industry. These initiatives reflect the School’s commitment to applied entrepreneurship, sector-specific innovation, and creating bridges between research institutions, business education, and industry.
The presentation received significant media coverage in Spain, appearing in 47 outlets with a potential audience of over 8 million readers, according to the clipping report. Leading generalist, economic, regional, and digital media outlets covered the news, including Servimedia, La Vanguardia, El Plural, The Objective, El Economista, El Confidencial, Libertad Digital, Economía Digital, El Periódico Digital, DiarioEconomia.com, Escudo Digital, Diariodia.es, Espanatimes.com, El Món, Valencia Plaza, and Andalucía Información.
Through Impuls AgriTech, GBSB Global continues to advance an educational model grounded in innovation, entrepreneurship, and real-world impact. By connecting students, researchers, startups, and industry partners, the school reinforces its role in shaping future-oriented business solutions for sectors undergoing profound technological transformation.
