The Spanish Consumers Association, Asescon, has ranked GBSB Global Business School first in a new classification identifying the business schools in Spain that best respond to the current challenges of business education.

The classification, published by Europa Press, El Economista, and Diario Economía, places GBSB Global Business School at the top, followed by ESADE, IESE Business School at the University of Navarra, IE University, and EADA Business School in Barcelona. Other schools on the list include UPF Barcelona School of Management, ESCP Business School, ESIC Business & Marketing School, and EU Business School.

The classification aims to provide students, families, and professionals with an updated view of institutions adapting most effectively to the demands of the labor market and digital economy.

According to Asescon, the criteria traditionally used to evaluate business schools are evolving. While academic reputation, alumni networks, and international presence remain important, the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and new professional profiles has changed how a business school’s relevance should be evaluated.

In this context, Asescon highlights GBSB Global Business School for its digital-first academic model and specialization in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence applied to business, blockchain, fintech, and innovation management. GBSB Global is also recognized for its high level of internationalization and commitment to educational innovation.

This recognition reinforces GBSB Global’s position as an internationally accredited institution of higher education with a distinctive academic model shaped by innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, and global business transformation. With campuses in Barcelona, Madrid, and Malta, as well as a robust online learning ecosystem, GBSB Global prepares students to understand, navigate, and lead in an economy increasingly defined by digital disruption and international complexity.

The classification also reflects a broader transformation in business education. Today’s students are seeking not only prestigious institutions but also academic experiences that are practical, internationally connected, technologically relevant, and aligned with the skills demanded by employers.

For future business leaders, the ability to work across cultures, apply digital tools, understand emerging technologies, and adapt to fast-changing markets is essential.

GBSB Global’s academic portfolio directly addresses these priorities. Its programs focus on business innovation, digital transformation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, ethics, and practical learning. These programs help students develop the mindset and capabilities required for the new economy. The school’s international community, comprised of students from over 100 countries, strengthens its global learning environment, reflecting the multicultural nature of contemporary business.

Asescon’s analysis considered publicly available information from the websites of leading Spanish business schools, as well as corporate documentation, accreditations, academic recognitions, and international rankings. The association evaluated digital-first learning models, pioneering and highly specialized programs, international diversity, an entrepreneurial focus, applied innovation, market adaptability, a technological orientation, official degree recognition, international accreditation, QS Stars recognition, and connection with the digital economy.

For GBSB Global, this recognition confirms the strategic relevance of an academic model built around not only business knowledge but also the capacity to anticipate change. In a professional landscape transformed by artificial intelligence, automation, digital finance, global mobility, and new forms of entrepreneurship, business schools must prepare graduates for emerging realities.

The classification emphasizes a key message for the future of management education: Business schools that combine academic excellence, innovation, internationalization, and direct connection to the challenges of the digital economy will lead tomorrow.

For GBSB Global Business School, being recognized at the top of this classification significantly endorses its mission to educate agile, ethical, and internationally minded leaders who are ready to create an impact in a rapidly changing world.
