Dr. Lorella Bellia Calderon

Dr. Lorella Bellia Calderón is an accomplished scholar and educator whose career bridges academic excellence and innovative research in political science and public policy. With a doctorate in Government and Political Science from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Dr. Bellia’s research explores the influence of electoral polls on voting intentions, a topic she has examined through both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Her scholarly work has earned her the 2021 Best Doctoral Thesis Award from the Sociedad Mexicana de Estudios Electorales and recognition as a member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers.
Dr. Bellia’s teaching portfolio is extensive and international, spanning undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. She has taught courses in qualitative research methods, public policy, political science fundamentals, government systems, and North American studies at leading institutions such as Universidad Anáhuac, Universidad de las Américas Puebla, and Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla.
