“The Sky Is the Limit”: GPINNOVA’s Pau Sarsanedas Millet Bids Farewell to the GBSB Global Class of 2026
There is a moment at every graduation when the room stops being a classroom and starts being a launch pad. At the GBSB Global Graduation Ceremony 2026, that moment belonged to Pau Sarsanedas Millet, President and CEO of GPINNOVA and the appointed Godfather of the Class of 2026, who took the stage to send our newest graduates into what he called “real life and real challenges.”
His message was short, direct, and unmistakably his own — the words of a founder who has built his career on moving fast and thinking big.
An entrepreneur who chose “a different way”
Sarsanedas didn’t offer the graduates a formula. He offered them his own path as an example. An industrial engineer trained at the Universitat de Girona, he co-founded GPINNOVA in Barcelona in 2013 and has spent the years since turning it into an international advanced-engineering group spanning metal surface finishing, marine robotics, medical technology, power electronics, industrial adhesives, and the New Space sector. In 2025 he was named Best Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Catalonia’s Association of Young Entrepreneurs (AIJEC).
“My way is a different way,” he told the graduates. “I chose a path with a lot of innovation, a lot of fast decisions, a lot of flexibility.”
He was honest about the cost. Building the company meant “working day and night, many, many years” before it was ready to, in his words, “conquer the world” — a reminder to graduates that the challenges and decisions ahead of them are the same ones that shaped his own journey from Girona to companies operating around the globe.
Lead with your heart — and with your people
For all his emphasis on technology, Sarsanedas returned again and again to something more human.
“You need to have the guidance of your heart,” he said. “Do what you feel you need to do, with a lot of energy, with a lot of passion — because everything is possible.”
And the technology, he argued, is never the point on its own: “We have great technology, but it’s not only technology. People are the key — the key of everything.” He encouraged graduates to build their own teams and to lean on the network they have spent years assembling: “You can bring together all the people behind you — all the contacts you built during your four years — and you will find a great stage for all of you.”
“Close the challenge”
Sarsanedas ended where his own ambition currently points: up. Noting that his latest venture reaches literally into outer space — “finally building flying things above the Earth” — he left the graduates with a challenge phrased in his own words.
“The sky is the limit,” he said. “Everything you will be able to do is guided by your efforts and your capabilities to close the challenge. If you are able to close the challenge, you will be able to do what you really want to do.”
Then, with the warmth that ran through the whole address: “The future is in your hands. Please, go ahead with your dreams.”

To every graduate who crossed the stage this year: you leave GBSB Global ready to fly. Carry the ambition, the passion, and the people with you — and, as your Godfather put it, go ahead with your dreams.
