What is AQU Catalunya?
The Agència per a la Qualitat del Sistema Universitari de Catalunya (AQU Catalunya) is the official public body responsible for evaluating and accrediting higher education institutions in Catalonia. Operating under the standards of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), AQU Catalunya is internationally recognized for ensuring academic quality, transparency, and compliance with European regulations.
Why did GBSB Global undergo an AQU evaluation?
Passing AQU’s quality inspection was a necessary step toward being listed in the RUCT. The evaluation validated GBSB Global’s high academic standards and rigorous processes, confirming our alignment with Spanish and European higher education requirements.
What is the RUCT and why is it important?
The RUCT (Registro de Universidades, Centros y Títulos) is Spain’s official registry of recognized universities, academic centers, and programs. It is maintained by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. For GBSB Global, inclusion in the RUCT is a historic milestone. It provides formal national recognition, enhances the visibility of our degrees, and strengthens their value for students and alumni in Spain, across Europe, and around the world.
How does the RUCT listing affect our current students?
For them, this milestone represents added strength and visibility. Your program and diploma remain fully valid, and the RUCT listing provides additional assurance of recognition, facilitating employability, visa processes, access to scholarships and grants, and academic mobility in Spain and abroad.
What about alumni who have already graduated?
The value and validity of your diploma remains unchanged. This milestone reinforces the reputation of your alma mater, adding weight and recognition to your academic and professional profile.
Does this change the validity of my diploma?
Not at all! All previously issued diplomas remain fully valid. The RUCT listing does not alter or replace them—it strengthens the institution’s recognition and, by extension, further validates both past and present degrees.
How does this recognition position GBSB Global within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA)?
Being listed in the RUCT strengthens GBSB Global’s standing in Spain’s higher education system and the wider EHEA. This:
