For the second year running, GBSB Global welcomed a group of students from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for a one-week executive training program in Barcelona. This annual exchange, part of their internship, focuses on practical business skills and C-suite preparation.
This bespoke program, packed with key modules, aimed at sharpening essential managerial skills while introducing innovative methodologies. In Operations Management, students engaged hands-on with strategies for running efficient business operations. The Creativity module, featuring the Lego Serious Play Workshop, encouraged them to think outside the box, enhance communication, and tackle problems in new ways.
Company visits were a major highlight. At "Tech Barcelona," students experienced firsthand how innovation drives the tech industry, while the visit to "Freixenet" provided insights into the operations of a leading winery and demonstrated how business strategies are applied in the real world.
The curriculum also included a Business Plan Design module, where students learned to build robust business plans using modern approaches and tech-driven strategies. Workshops on Teamwork and Leadership & Communication focused on the skills needed for effective collaboration and leadership. The week concluded with Project Presentations, allowing students to apply their new knowledge.
