GBSB Global’s esteemed Advisory Board is comprised of industry and education experts from Malta, Spain and further abroad representing an array of professional disciplines. The Advisory Board offers GBSB Global’s faculty, staff, administration and the institution guidance and direction on complex issues addressing trends and research in the fields we focus.

As an organization, GBSB Global is a pioneer in business education and continues to revolutionize its teaching methodologies. The Advisory Board exemplifies the diversity seen globally and promotes collaboration and interconnectedness across the leadership of the organization. This multiplicity enables the board members to oversee a range of subjects and deliver academic programming that prepares students for highly competitive international careers.

Advocating to the communities in which they serve in Malta and Europe, board members act as liaisons communicating vital information and providing independent and unbiased consultation from relevant stakeholders to the Executive Committee, supporting the determination of important activities, events, and investments. Meeting every six months, led by the Advisory Board Chair, it is obligatory the Global Managing Director and other key members attend.

Advisory member Richard Hazenberg

Richard Hazenberg

Dr. Richard Hazenberg is the head of research at the Institute for Social Innovation and Impact at the University of Northampton, UK. A published researcher, his work has appeared in numerous international, peer-reviewed academic journals. Invited to present at conferences in Europe, Asia, and in the United States, Dr. Richard Hazenberg is also a trustee of a leading UK social enterprise and a social entrepreneur himself- directing his own research consultancy firm.

Elisenda Tarrats

Professor Elisenda Tarrats leads the Entrepreneur's Department at Universitat de Vic (UVic) and is a Research Group Board Member at Emprén. Throughout her career, Professor Tarrats has served as the Dean of the Business and Communication Faculty at UVic-UCC.

Advisory member Jan Lachenmayer

Jan Lachenmayer

Jan Lachenmayer, Managing Director of the non-profit organization Enpact, promotes entrepreneurship in emerging and developing markets, and is the co-founder of FORMATION, a tech startup productizing location data empowering companies to outperform their competitors. As a consultant, Jan has worked with Dax-listed companies throughout his career, led EU- and Government-funded research projects, advised high-level political decision-makers, executed major cultural events, lectured at renown universities, and founded both non-profit and for-profit organizations including two tech startups.

 

Alejandro González San Román

Alejandro González San Román, an executive with twenty years of experience in the field of technology, strategy, and digital business, joins Ricoh with the aim of designing new strategies to compete in the field of digital services and accelerating the company's transformation. Alejandro holds a degree in computer engineering from ICAI and an MBA from IESE. Throughout his career, he has worked with global companies such as Accenture Strategy, KPMG, and WPP, leading projects with a high degree of innovation from the perspective of digital customers, data, and intelligent infrastructures. Based in Ricoh's office in Madrid, Alejandro joins an extensive team of professionals focused on creating impact for clients by designing, building, and scaling new innovative opportunities in the digital economy that lies ahead.

Guifre Belloso Manera

Guifre Belloso Manera is an accomplished professional with a strong background in economics and entrepreneurship. He holds a degree in Economics from Universitat de Barcelona and pursued further education with a Master's in Foreign Trade from ICEX (Madrid) and a Master's in Financial Management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. As an Entrepreneurship Advisor at Barcelona Activa, he provided valuable guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs from 2006 to 2014. Transitioning to the Funding Department in 2014, Guifre continued to contribute to Barcelona's entrepreneurial ecosystem. His expertise spans diverse financial areas, including debt restructuring, banking, private investing, and navigating public funding, particularly in research and development.

Manuel Matos

Manuel Matos, an experienced entrepreneur with a passion for technology, education and innovation. He's the CEO of Tokiota, an innovative company dedicated to helping people and organizations leverage next-generation innovations in cloud, AI and data. He's also the co-founder of Kompendium, an app that offers professional training and coaching to companies and professionals, with a special focus on the latest technology trends.

Jordi López

Jordi López, the current Managing Director of the Santander-InnoEnergy Climate Venture Capital Fund, brings a wealth of experience from his role as a founding team member at InnoEnergy in 2009. His achievements include spearheading InnoEnergy's prominent accelerator program in sustainable energy, overseeing operations in seven countries, and contributing to the growth and internationalization of numerous startups and scale-ups. Mr. López holds a Master of Science in Electronics and a Telecommunications major from Ramon Llull University in Spain and an MBA from ESADE Business School (2007-2009).

With a rich academic background and over 30 years of professional experience, our profile, holder of an MSc in Telecommunications from UPC and an MSc in Marketing and Market Research from UOC, is a seasoned expert in various sectors. Having navigated roles in small, medium, and large companies such as Menta and Retevision, alongside contributions to public administration at ACCIÓ and Technological Centers like LEITAT and EURECAT, he brings a diverse and extensive skill set to the table. A passionate advocate for Digital Transformation and innovation, he specializes in applying creativity dynamics and methodologies, including Design Thinking and Lego® Serious Play®, to drive innovation management, product and service development, and business model design. As a Lean Change Agent and Scrum Master, he excels in fostering organizational transformation. Certified as a Coach in Gallup® Strengths and Cappfinity®, he leverages these insights for effective change management. Additionally, his role as a trainer, both in business schools and in-company settings, showcases his commitment to knowledge sharing and professional development. With a multifaceted skill set, he stands as a driving force in the realms of innovation, transformation, and education.
